The Department of Nursing at USD invites applications for a Lab Storekeeper/Assistant for our Sioux Falls location.

Job Responsibilities; Assist faculty and students who utilize the lab. Maintain, update and orient students and faculty to lab policies and procedures – Maintain current inventory of all lab supplies and equipment – Notify and orient faculty of new resources or equipment available in the lab – Devise and maintain a check-out/check-in system for student and faculty use of lab equipment, supplies and resources – Support faculty with preparation for demonstrations for skill validations – Respond to requests for resources in a timely and courteous manner – Supervise the lab while students are practicing – Provide resources to help students prepare lab-related presentations – Provide technical support for lab-related hardware and software – Maintain all equipment warranties and notify director of laboratory equipment damage/need for repair – Facilitate and ensure equipment upkeep, repair and replacement as needed. – Meet frequently with director and faculty members to anticipate need for lab facilities and services – Compile a master schedule well in advance for each semester that accommodates instruction and assessment of all student groups using the lab – Set up equipment, supplies and materials for each instructional/validation session – Keep accurate records of lab usage – Anticipate peak usage and prepare for smooth accommodation of faculty/student needs – Attend faculty meetings and communicate with faculty to monitor curriculum developments for their implications for laboratory learning experiences. Work with faculty to develop/update guidelines/policy and procedure for appropriate use of the learning laboratory – Create manuals describing equipment/supplies needed for scheduled set-ups for each nursing course. Order, inventory and store all equipment, supplies to support learning experiences in the laboratory.

Knowledge of:
-Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access), SD EzBuy, DocuSign, Internet; -Modern office procedures and practices; -Modern office equipment and processes; -Business English to include grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Ability to:
-Establish and maintain a professional relationship with students, faculty, staff and the public;
-Work with confidential information; -Communicate information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; -Read, comprehend, gather, prepare, and summarize data from a wide variety of sources;
-Multi-task, prioritize accordingly, be detailed orientated, flexible;
-Operate a variety of office equipment: computer (Microsoft Office and the Internet), copy machine, fax machine, etc.
