The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business Dean’s Office seeks a friendly, team-oriented, problem solver to join an engaged team of professionals in creating a high-quality work environment, and excellent customer experience. This position serves as the initial contact for faculty, staff, students, alumni and business. It sets the tone for an active, energetic office. Applicants should be interested in an office environment that is dynamic from day to day.

Duties: entering invoices, journal vouchers and deposits into Banner; coordinating and processing travel for faculty and staff; answering the telephone and responding appropriately to requests from students, faculty, staff, and potential employers; filing; monitoring student testing; coordination and clerical support for student evaluations; and other responsibilities as assigned.

Required: exceptional organizational skills; effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and other USD departments; teamwork; attention to detail; and ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks.

Knowledge of general methods and processes in areas such as accounting, purchasing, and other administrative activities; computer software applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); and modern office equipment, practices, and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Banner and EZBuy is a benefit. Candidates with experience working with diverse student, staff, and faculty are preferred.
