  • Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills; high attention to detail; ability to administer and monitor multiple grant funds, apply regulations and rules affecting sponsored research activity, learn new skills and quickly absorb new information, and organize and prioritize tasks to meet competing deadlines; ability to collaborate effectively and diplomatically with faculty, staff, and university leadership. Preferred: Two or more years of grant and/or contract administration experience; knowledge of OMB 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance); experience with proposal/award management software such as Banner; expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Responsibilities: Provide post-award financial support for the sponsored programs office and campus community. Maintain databases and prepare institutional reports; manage effort certification; assist with administration of internal grant programs; stay up-to-date on sponsored programs practices and regulations; assist with maintaining sponsored programs office subscriptions, memberships, and registrations; and participate in training sessions, meetings, and conferences. Assist PIs/PDs with managing budgets; monitoring expenditures and tracking cost share; preparing reports; preparing requisitions, service contracts, and the like; invoicing; and understanding and adhering to award requirements and all applicable federal, state and NSU policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Apply analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification and resolution of grants and contracts administration issues and provide knowledge of regulations, agency policies, and other requirements that affect grant and contract administration. Write/maintain process and procedure documentation for post-award financial activities to ensure compliance with federal, state, BOR, and university practices and policies. Advise university staff on post-award financial activities and regulations.
