Departmental information: The Office of Continuing Education at Northern State University is seeking a full-time program assistant. This is a dynamic work environment with varied activities occurring on a daily basis. The ability to deal professionally with the public as well as faculty and staff is essential.

  • Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent required
  • Responsibilities:
    1. Responsible for collaborating/preparing external agency surveys and reports:
    2. Responsible for coordinating/preparing internal reports:
    3. Responsible for assisting OCE Director with managing and monitoring the State Authorization and Professional Licensure/Certification programs.
    4. Responsible for collecting and analyzing data and drafting reports for external accrediting agencies, NACEP, HLC, etc.
    5. Supervise OCE staff support; Staff Assistant, and three Work Study Students.
    6. Designated NSU High School Dual Credit Point of Contact responsible for monitoring the HSDC program to include communications between NSU and SD High School Leadership including Starfish Early Alert notifications and follow-up, and HSDC Grade Report processing
    7. Responsible for preparing reports from Banner Financial system to improve budget monitoring; revenues and expenses
    8. Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining OCE Course and Student Databases
    9. Responsible for coordinating courses offered at BHSU-RC, CUC, UCSF, and HCC

*Some evening and weekend availability is required, especially at the beginnings and endings of each semester.
