| Posting Text | The Department of Nursing at USD invites applications and nominations for full-time faculty members for the Sioux Falls site. USD Nursing is one of ten programs within the USD School of Health Sciences, offering a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing degree in Vermillion, Sioux Falls, Rapid City, and Pierre, an RN-BSN program, and a new online MSN and DNP program. The School of Health Sciences and the USD/Sanford School of Medicine comprise the Division of Health Affairs. The University of South Dakota is a comprehensive liberal arts state institution with an enrollment of over 10,000 students. The position will be 9-months, full-time. Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials. This faculty will be responsible for classroom theoretical instruction and clinical experiences such as simulation, laboratory skills, and seminar. Responsibilities include oversight and evaluation of students’ clinical reasoning and clinical performance; assessment and evaluation of student learning; and implementation of patient simulations. Recent clinical experience is required. Experience in teaching in a baccalaureate or higher degree program preferred. Some travel to clinical sites may be expected. The successful candidate will have a current, active, unencumbered license, eligible for licensure in South Dakota, and hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program. The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal skills and the ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning, as well as a commitment to the principles of diversity and inclusiveness. |
