South Dakota State University is searching for a highly motivated, creative and innovative professional Pharmacist in Charge to join our Jackrabbit Pharmacy team located in the Miller Wellness Center. 
 
Job Responsibilities:  This position manages pharmacy standard operating policies and procedures, management of changing laws/regulations, annual budget analysis, insurance billing, medication pricing and inventory, medication recalls and expired medications, point of sale and pharmacy software updates, daily deposits, student and fill-in pharmacist supervision and scheduling, compliance with annual pharmacy inspections, reviews and inputs prescriptions into pharmacy software, processes electronic prescriptions, dispenses medication and provides customer medication counseling. This position will also be responsible for answering the phone and waits on customers at the counter and collaborates with the College of Pharmacy with shadowing of perspective pharmacy students and observation with Pharmacy I students. Typical hours are Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM with occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Required License/Degree: Bachelor of Science or Doctorate in Registered Pharmacist.South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Licensure. Authorization to administer injectables preferred or ability to obtain within three months of employment.
