The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track Mathematics Lecturer position with the principal duties of teaching the calculus sequence and upper-level undergraduate mathematics courses.  Required qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in Mathematics or very closely related discipline; ability to effectively teach undergraduate mathematics; sufficient mathematical preparation to teach upper division mathematics courses such as linear algebra, abstract algebra, and real analysis; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills.
 
Desired qualifications include demonstrated effective teaching of the calculus sequence and differential equations; demonstrated effective teaching of upper-level undergraduate mathematics courses; and experience or desire to implement innovative teaching techniques.  The position begins August 2022.

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics currently has 20 tenure-track faculty, 13 full-time instructors, 80 graduate students, and 185 undergraduate majors.   The department currently offers a B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics, an M.S. in Statistics, an A.S., B.S., and M.S. in Data Science, and a Ph.D. in Computational Science and Statistics.
