STARTING HOURLY RATE$16.53+ per hour, depending upon education and experience, GF
 
POSITION PURPOSE:  Process billings, payments, and refunds; receive all institutional revenues; reconcile accounts and resolve errors; provide customer service, including assisting students/parents with tuition and billing issues and questions; collect delinquent accounts; generate reports; assist with 1098T processing; and other duties as assigned.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 
Knowledge of:
  • basic bookkeeping, accounting, and financial practices
  • purchasing, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable
  • arithmetic sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages
  • English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • computer software applications and data entry
 
Ability to:
  • communicate information clearly and concisely in person, via email and/or on the telephone, exercising tact, patience, discretion, and professional demeanor
  • establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships, interacting in a supportive manner with students, staff, and the public
  • read, comprehend, gather, prepare, and summarize data from a variety of sources
  • work accurately with attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • maintain financial records and prepare financial reports
  • record data accurately with attention to detail, compare information and recognize discrepancies
  • use a computer, copy machine and other office equipment
  • provide outstanding customer service
