Job Summary/Basic Function: Northern State University, Department of Banking and Financial Services ( and ( in Aberdeen SD invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/ Associate rank. The Department of Banking and Financial Services is committed to academic excellence and diversity within our faculty, staff, and student body.

The Department of Banking and Financial Services at NSU offers a full range of academic degree programs including Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Banking and Financial Services.

The NSU Department of Banking and Financial Services programs is one of only two degree programs in banking offered by accredited institutions in the US. Our faculty exhibit expertise in a host of banking and financial services disciplines, and the department is separately accredited by ACBSP.

The anticipated starting date is September 2018 and the position is subject to availability of funds. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is closed. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must hold Doctorate in Finance (or equivalent) or a Juris Doctor with banking experience and demonstrate excellence in teaching and a desire to publish in top tier journals. Appropriately, qualified candidates will be considered for position, which is an annual renewable appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to work with and mentor students and professional or managerial experience in banking and/or financial services. A PhD, JD or DBA is preferred
