Black Hills State University is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty member as an Assistant Professor in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate early childhood courses in the areas of curriculum, instructional methods, and classroom management (birth through age 8). In addition, this position will include teaching practicum courses and supervising student teachers as well as engaging in research and leadership/service activities. Position begins August 15, 2018.

*Doctorate in Education with an emphasis in one of the following preferred – Early Childhood Education or Early Intervention.
*Five years of successful classroom experience in public or private pre-school or kindergarten required, with preference given to candidates possessing experience or knowledge of best practices in working with young children with disabilities.
*The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service; will have the ability to connect theory to practice; will work well in collaborative settings; and will have the desire and ability to make connections to local schools.
