The University of South Dakota, Department of Physics, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the search for neutrino physics. The successful candidate will make substantial contributions to the operation and data analysis of the Majorana Demonstrator experiment, as well as the R&D program of the LEGEND collaboration (the Large Enriched Germanium Experiment for Neutrinoless double beta Decay) towards a next-generation experiment. Other research activities of the group include HPGe detector development and the DUNE experiment. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics or closely related field prior to beginning the position. Experience in data analysis and simulations. Experience with GEANT4 is highly beneficial. Detector instrumentation commonly seen in nuclear and particle physics.
