Black Hills State University invites qualified applicants to submit materials for the Dean of the College of Business and Natural Sciences.

The College of Business and Natural Sciences is comprised of two schools: Business and Natural Sciences. The Business school is an AACSB accredited unit with undergraduate and one graduate program, with 24 full-time faculty and over 600 students. The business curriculum is available online, at the main campus in Spearfish, and in Rapid City. The Natural Sciences school offers undergraduate and graduate programs, with 24 full-time faculty and over 400 majors. The Natural Sciences school has some online offerings, with full programs available on the main Spearfish campus and at the Rapid City campus.

As the chief administrative officer of the college, the dean provides leadership in recruitment and retention efforts, budget management, curriculum development, program accreditation, academic long range planning, faculty development, grant development and research, and maintenance of high academic standards. The dean is also responsible for supervision of all college faculty and secretarial support as well as securing resources for college operation.

Candidates must possess the following:
• Terminal degree in business or the natural sciences
• Academic experience commensurate with an appointment at the rank of Professor
• Administrative experience at the department, school, or college level
Candidates should possess the following:
• Experience with programmatic accreditation, especially AACSB
