LOCATION: Electrical and Computer Engineering

STARTING SALARY: $16,829.28 – $20,618.56, depending upon education and experience, GH
This is a part-time, 50% effort, benefited position.

POSITION PURPOSE: Assist the Department Head to grow educational and research programs and develop new initiatives. Duties include developing and implementing marketing strategies and social media for undergraduate and graduate programs; coordination and development of outreach programs, orientations and student engagement activities; collecting, analyzing and interpreting report data; generation of web pages, including updating and monitoring content; supervising student employees; and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of:
•work processes and practices pertaining to public administration, management and professional subject areas;
•applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations;
•general methods and processes in areas such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and other administrative activities;
•English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation;
•high level of proficiency with computer systems and common applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Ability to:
•communicate information clearly and concisely in person and/or on the telephone, exercising tact, patience, discretion and professional demeanor;
•establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships, interacting in a supportive manner with a variety of cultures and personalities, within a high-pressure environment;
•plan and project future operating needs in terms of fiscal needs and staffing changes;
•read, comprehend, gather, interpret, analyze and summarize data from a variety of sources;
•type accurately, be detail orientated, have excellent organizational skills, handle multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly, work independently, learn quickly, and meet strict deadlines;
•use a computer, copy machine and other office equipment;
•provide excellent customer service.

COMMENTS: Valid driver’s license is required.
