The SD Board of Regents, Regents Information Systems is seeking a self-starter to develop and support technology based software solutions, primarily in the system application area with a focus on HR, Finance, Student, Financial Aid and related systems, to ensure the efficient operation, integration, and delivery of services for the BOR system. The position will be classified as an Information Technology Specialist or a Senior Programmer Analyst dependent upon the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities will include being a resource to create and implement new technology based solutions; application system support; implementation and support of interoperability tools and technologies; and addressing integration system needs between primary BOR systems.

Position Requirements:
- Related software development education
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in information systems preferred, other combinations of experience and education may be acceptable by the hiring authority.
- Must be a highly motivated individual, with a passion to learn and ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of clients and be team oriented.
- Ability to support a project through to completion.
- Must have knowledge of tools and technologies available to meet multiple client information system requirements and standards.
- Ability to apply principles, theories and concepts and contribute to those theories and concepts.

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Application System Administration.
- Knowledge in Windows and Unix/Linux server environment
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, developing and modifying PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
- Experience related to SQL, HTML, Java, or other software programming languages.

The SDBOR governs the six public universities and the two special schools. Regents Information System operate the computing systems, networks, and security for the Regental System in direct coordination with the Board of Regents mission.
