Dakota State University is seeking candidates for a Strength and Conditioning Coach combined with a half time Instructor position. This is a 12-month position and has multiple responsibilities. As the Strength and Conditioning Coach, the candidate will support and enhance the direction of the Dakota State University Athletic Department and assist all athletic programs by scheduling and supervising appropriate strength and conditioning programs, instruct student-athletes in the proper and safe techniques of weight training and collaborate with athletic training staff to coordinate injury rehabilitation and treatment schedules.

As a half-time Instructor in the College of Education, this position will require a Master’s degree in Sport Administration, Exercise Science, Coaching, Health & Physical Education or related discipline. Based on the candidate’s experience and education, possible teaching assignments might include courses in exercise science, physical education or the wellness component of the general education core.

Candidates must possess minimum qualifications of a Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline for the teaching duties listed above. Candidates must also have strong leadership and communication skills, strength and conditioning program experience, working knowledge of injury rehabilitation and treatments, and a commitment to athletic excellence in an academic environment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
