Black Hills State University seeks to hire a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Political Science.

*Teaching eight courses per year, several of which may be offered online, including American Government, Introduction to Political Theory, United States Institutions, State and Local Government, Contemporary Debates in Political Thought, Theories of the State, Public Opinion and Polling, and Civic Engagement & Activism
*Advising students
*Scholarly activities

*A PhD in Political Science
*ABDs will be considered on a term-contract basis, and the PhD must be completed within two years of appointment.

Black Hills State University is a masters-level state University with 4,500 students. The campus leads the region in sustainability efforts and maintains top academic programs in business (AACSB), exercise science, natural sciences, social sciences, the arts, mass communication, health sciences and education.
