Black Hills State University is seeking applicants for a full-time Program Assistant I position in Student Financial Services.

The incumbent will be responsible for financial aid counseling with students and parents, certifying student loans, and processing student financial aid.

- Work processes and practices pertaining to financial aid
- Microsoft Office proficiency required: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Analyze and calculate students’ aid
- Communicate effectively with students and families
- Effective time management
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- To solve problems independently
- To research, analyze and manage data
- To use basic computer software utilized by regental system
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Train and provide guidance to staff and service users
- Maintain confidentiality
- To have regular and reliable attendance

Typically 8:00 – 5:00 hour day, however, some overtime involved.
